A Hint

I'll make it easy for my family. Easier than they're making it for me. If I ask what they want for Christmas they shrug their shoulders and mutter something totally incomprehensible. Well, I know what I want. And it's not unattainable. It's possibly even available locally. And if not, there's still time to order it online.

It's Matt Redman's Sing Like Never Before. I don't buy a lot of Christian CDs, partly because I can borrow my sons' music. But I am moved to tears every time I hear a particular song and I would love to be able to play it at home, in the car, and any place else.

I read once that we each have different ways of worshipping, and I know that for me personally, music is a big part of worship. Listening to it, singing it, playing it, being immersed in it. And how could you not be immersed in a song such as this one:

"10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)"

[Chorus]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

[Chorus]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

[Chorus x2]

Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
Lord, I'll worship Your holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
I'll worship Your holy name

Listen to it here.

Now you'll probably get 5 copies of it! So, any other family that is reading this, be warned, we're getting it!

JULES, JULES! We are singing this exact song at our church! It's our newest song. We just learned it about three weeks ago. I listen to it on my iPod over and over. It's so anointed. It's one of my favorites!

lol.

I thought afterwards that I could just always buy it for one of my sons and then borrow it.
