Ninety Years Loved: The Timeline

Years ago when showing digital photos at funerals was beginning to increase in popularity my MIL informed us that she wanted such a screening at her funeral.

But why wait until a loved one is deceased before sharing the photos? I had a lot of fun putting the photos together and the bonus was that we got to hear some of the stories behind the photos.

Early years ...

Teens and twenties ...

Marriage and children ...

(Below, DH makes his debut in family photos ... as unimpressed then as he is now about having his photo taken!)

Life continues ... the family grows ... children marry or leave home ...

Changes come ... death steals a daughter and spouse ... more children marry ... and grandchildren begin to marry ... great-grandchildren are born ... family scatters across the globe ... birthdays are celebrated ... and the digital age arrives and instead of three photos to choose from there are three thousand ...

(Below, eightieth birthday celebration. The family was much smaller then!)

Just a small tribute to a small lady whom we love very much.
