Vacation’s End

School holidays are over and it’s back to the grind we go. So how did I do with my ‘To Do’ List:

1. Make a lap quilt for The Most Adorable Granddaughter in the World. Done. And I got instructions posted on my quilting blog.

2. Put a false back on the quilt I made for Son#1 and DIL#1. Done and it wasn’t as difficult as I had anticipated. Looks good too!

3. Put a jacket zipper in the cardigan I had knitted for The Most Adorable Granddaughter and start knitting for Son#5. Yes to both although I nearly gave up at putting that zipper in. That was tricky!

4. Plant bulbs. I planted about 20 bulbs but would still like to plant more so that both sides of our brick path will be a glorious display of colour come Spring.

5. Catch up on some of the housework. I got the ironing up to date. I’m sure that counts.

6. Write, write, write. I estimate that I’m now about half way through my next novel. Pleased with what I got done but obviously would like a lot more time to write.

7. Have The Most Adorable Granddaughter stay over. We had two fabulous nights – one each week – when The Most Adorable Granddaughter stayed over. The second time her maternal granny came and stole her away early. How dare she! LOL

8. Other. I mentioned working out and playing the flute in my original post. Well I did go for a few walks (mainly with The Most Adorable Granddaughter) and I practiced the flute 4-5 times each week so even on these ‘after thoughts’ I didn’t do too badly. We just won't mention the state of the garden at the moment! (Why is it that in Spring your fingers are just itching to get into the garden but come the cooler months and the urge fades?)
