Blog Giveaway

As promised, a chance to win my novel, To A Distant Land. I had considered a blog tour but this time of year is so busy for so many people, and I didn’t want to wait any longer, so a giveaway it is.

To enter is easy: simply leave a comment on this post. You shouldn’t need an account to leave a comment, but if you experience difficulties please email me and I’ll add your comment.

Easy.

But wait, there’s more!

To enter more than once do any or all of the following. Each one equates to another entry. Simply do those that you are able and let me know all in the one comment post.

• In your comment mention a post you have enjoyed from this blog;

• If you are a regular reader or follower – or sign up to be a follower – then mention it (and yes I know that there are some readers who do not ‘follow’ and have never left a comment – you’re going to have to come out of hiding if you want to enter);

• Post a link on your blog or website to my blog or website;

• Post a link to the book blurb or first chapter and write about it in a post on your blog;

• Read the first chapter and tell me what you think;

• Be the first person to tell me how to keep this post at the top of my blog while adding other posts (without having to keep changing the date).

That’s it. So get your friends involved and let’s make this a big giveaway. Entry is open to residents of all countries. But hurry! I want to announce the winner January 1, 2010.

Here I am and I'm first in line. It's 11:50pm. If I had to I'd wait in line in the snow - but it doesn't snow much in New Mexico. Your book cover is like candy to my eyes. I've been looking at it for weeks. Can't wait to have one of my own.

Hi Jules,

Just want to say congratulations here on your blog! I am so proud of all you have accomplished, and am thankful for the One you serve!

I sure hope to be able to read your book soon! I know I am going to love it!

Once I read, I'll have to come back and comment on the book itself. Right now my favorite part of the book is the inscription and author's signature! :) I know that will always be one of my most treasured parts of the book! :)

I wish you every success!

Love and best wishes,
Fox

Please add me in the giveaway!

And lets see what I love about your blog is that you give a personal view of life from a Christian perspective, with a healthy dose of wisdom. Right now my favorite post is about your new shoes! (I'm reading in reverse!!)

Hmm.

Apparently I left a comment on the "bumped" post, but not the actual giveaway page.

All right, then, here is my official comment. Ta-da!

I don't know what my favorite post would be. I did (really) laugh out loud at the one about the shoes, but somebody already said that, so I guess I have to pick something else. I like the one about the Christmas parade, where Most Adorable Granddaughter #1 looks so puzzled about the missing dogs.

I also like the one that is basically just Psalm 102, which probably doesn't count, but made me want to buy a NRKJ Bible. I have NIV and NASB. The NASB says "I resemble a pelican of the wilderness, I have become like an owl of the waste places." Not quite so poetic as your NRKJ version.

Okay! Consider me entered!

I finally got around to entering! I am a follower of your blog, but since I don't have a blog or website of my own, I can't post any links. My favorite post on your blog was "go home and forget" because it is a true story, and it shows love and dedication of parents and faith as well. And that doctor's don't always know everything! I haven't had a chance to read the first chapter of your book yet, but will soon after I post this. I am very proud of you for being published. It has always been a dream of mine. I would love to hear more about the process you went through to get published. Congratulations on your wonderful accomplishment!

Hi Jules, I couldn't find a place to enter a comment on your blog, I am so terrible when it comes to these kind of things.

Anyway I wanted to enter your contest for your book giveaway.

Jules I am so proud of you and God has given you a wonderful gift, regardless of whether I win or not I just needed to tell you this. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family! I love a book that keeps my interest and this has so far!

I couldn't figure out how to leave a comment. I just wanted to enter the giveaway and to tell you that I admire you very much. I just found your blog through your signature on LHC. You're a beautiful lady with a lovely spirit and an amazing smile. Best of luck to you with your book and with the upcoming marriage of your son. You are going to be a smashing Mother of the Groom!!

Hi Jules....Thanks for helping me out with trying to post a comment. I read the first chapter and it looks fantastic! I like how the characters and story are developing so far...it makes me want to read the rest. And I love how (thus far) one character's perspective is shown via her diary. That was a nice creative twist. :-)

Hi again,

Just wanted to add that I've finished your book and I love it! It would be hard to pick a favorite character as they all held my interest. I didn't want the story to end! I could relate to the book in that bad things happen in life and yet God does have a plan... I think your book shines this truth brightly! Thank you for writing such a great story... I hope the story gets to continue because I really want to know what happens next!!
