Thirty years ago today the most beautiful baby that ever there was burst into this world with a lusty cry. Of course he was to be followed by four equally beautiful siblings but we didn't know that then.
What we did know was that something amazing and incredible had occurred.
Today I look back on the last thirty years and feel a little sad (Where has my baby gone to?) but also immensely proud.
Happy Birthday Son#1!
What we did know was that something amazing and incredible had occurred.
I remember leaving the hospital astounded that we could just walk out with this precious bundle. Shouldn't there have been some kind of license or something to prove we were capable and fit to be parents?
He grew and we enjoyed every stage of his development.
We quickly realised that he was an awesome older brother ...
(although he could be a little bossy at times I've been told) ...
and later husband and father (and eventually uncle) who preferred to be behind the camera rather than in front of it.
Today I look back on the last thirty years and feel a little sad (Where has my baby gone to?) but also immensely proud.
Happy Birthday Son#1!
