Visit

Over a week ago we returned from another wonderful visit with Son#3 and DIL#3 and their beautiful family. This time I had been able to stay for almost a week to help out. The Most Adorable Granddaughter#1 came with me and what a blessing she turned out to be!

Despite pouring with rain for the first few days, she managed to find several ways to entertain The Most Charming Grandson#1: from jumping in puddles after the rain, to jumping on the tramp in the rain, to going for walks and/or bike rides. And, then of course, after the rain, there were puddles to ride bikes through. What bliss!

From very early on The Most Adorable Granddaughter#1 had her very own shadow. And a special name. Several actually. "Cousin", "Big Girl", and "Jazzy Wazzy" were heard frequently and were how the Most Charming Grandson#1 introduced her. If she held The Most Charming Grandson#2 she was usually quickly informed to give him back to his mother! (She managed to sneak in some cuddles when The Most Adorable Grandson#1 was asleep.)

We were also blessed to see, briefly, DIL#2 and The Most Adorable Granddaughters#4, #5, #6 and #7; as well as have Son#4 and DIL#4 visit for the weekend, even if that did mean we had to share cuddles with The Most Charming Grandson#2. However, we weren't about to complain, especially since we will want cuddles with their Precious Bundle of Joy come October.

While away - and since returning - I made several pairs of socks for The Most Charming Grandson#2. And The Most Adorable Granddaughter#1 has made me rethink my aversion to crochet after she worked up not one, but three, baby vests in record time along with two pairs of booties.

And, even though unable yet to see or hold The Most Charming Grandson#2, The Most Adorable Granddaughter#2 made up small gifts for us to give him that carried the love that couldn't yet be expressed in physical closeness.

With all these clever crafters in the family, and the family continuing to grow, it's good to know we'll be able to continue to keep little ones wrapped in woolly items of love.

And a few more photos just because ... well, because babies are so precious and adorable ...

And big brothers can be pretty adorable too (especially when they have shared not one, but two of their favourite blankets with their younger brother - see photo above) ...
