In truth it began a few weeks ago, but yesterday Son#2 finished his course and today flies back up home. Well, almost home. Tonight he'll spend with his brother (Son#3) and tomorrow DH will pick them both up and bring them on home.
Son#2 will stay here to study and sit his final exam but Son#3 will only be here for a week or so before going back to the Hostel where he boards during semester. He's coming home because he feels that he'll get more study done at home than in the hostel where there are far more distractions.
Son#3 will sit his exams in a few weeks, then will come home to find work as part of his course. We think - hope! - he already has a job lined up but with a recession on, it's not been an easy task.
Son#2 will sit his final exam and then he'll be looking for work. Not just to fill in over the summer or to earn some extra money, but for real! This is life, honey, welcome to it!
Son#1 also has his final exam coming up in a few weeks and Son#4 and Son#5 will also have exams at school. Hopefully there'll be lots of studying going on.
This is a super-busy time of the year for those of us downunder. Our school year ends just before Christmas so with exams, end-of-year concerts and prize-givings, Christmas parties, end-of-year parties, planning for Christmas, etc, it becomes a very busy and stressful time. But once it's over we then have six weeks' holiday to enjoy the summer.
Let the count down begin!
