The Christmas tree was delivered three days ago. For two days it stood sad and lonely until some one took pity on it and hung the lights on it. I've been trying to get the boys to get the decorations out and put them on the tree but no one's interested.
Wasn't it just yesterday that decorating the tree was a fun family thing to do? What happened?

When my son, Jesse, was young we'd decorate the tree together and have a lot of fun, but as he got older, he lost interest. He loved having a Christmas tree in the house though. One year when I got laid off from a job right before Christmas and couldn't afford a tree (and was quite depressed because of the layoff), Jesse spent his own money and bought a tree, put it up and decorated it all by himself to surprise me. It was a bad Christmas financially that year, but it was wonderful in other ways.
I hope we get to see a picture of your tree all dressed up! I bet everyone will "come around" soon! :)
