Precious

Son#2 commented today that I haven't updated my blog for a week. I wonder if he's been waiting for me to show off more photos of our recent most gorgeous and precious addition to the family? If so, he should be happy with these ...

As for the other Three Most Adorable Granddaughters, DH and I babysat them on Friday night.

When he returned home Son#1 asked us how we went with getting The Most Adorable Granddaughter in the World#1 to bed.

"No trouble at all," I replied. "She had a bath and story and then when she was in bed she asked me to turn out the light because she was tired and then she went straight to sleep."

"What?" Son#1 was obviously surprised and I think also a little disappointed that we didn't have the same struggles they've been having at bedtime. Put it down to a Nana's touch!

The Most Adorable Granddaughter#2 can say her cousin's name and is so proud of herself. So she should be! However she still refuses to even attempt to say her older sister's name. I wonder what that's all about?

We tried for an hour to get The Most Adorable Granddaughter#3 to take a bottle. Eventually DH spoon fed her 20ml of formula. After her mother arrived home she had a feed and then turned around and looked at us as if to say, "That's what I wanted all along. How come you didn't figure it out?"

Sigh. I love being a grandparent but sometimes I'm just not as good as Mum or Dad. And I guess that's the way it should be.

Oooh, your newest granddaughter is the sweetest thing.
When I look at my parents, I see how they love being grandparents... For them it's like being a second Mom and Dad :) It may be different because they have grandsons, though, boys need lots of authority.

Jules,

They are all so beautiful and precious, you lucky grandma!

I just heard the news about the earthquake and tsunami warning. I hope you are okay. Am praying.
