To Share Some More

My SIL sent me some photos that she took at the wedding and I just have to share some of them. They are just gorgeous. Of course, the bride couldn't have looked anything but gorgeous anyway, but it's nice to see that the rest of the family scrubbed up okay too.

This has to be my favourite photo so far. They look so happy.

Obviously we need another family wedding so that we can get a decent family photo. I had high hopes of getting a lovely family pic this time but that was before I stupidly went in and had my fringe 'tidied up' a few days before the wedding. To say I was upset is an understatement. As if I didn't have enough against me ... still, it wasn't about me, and in the end I decided to enjoy the day and be happy for the couple (and us too) and not stress about things I couldn't change.

However I'm still putting my order in for a family photo where everyone is present and looking at the camera and smiling, where no one is poking out their tongue or trying to escape, where I am not wearing a dress that colour coordinates with my hair colour (big mistake there), and where those wearing heels are not sinking into the soft ground, making some of us look even shorter and stubbier than we are. Still, this is my favourite pic despite all its so-called faults:

It would be perfect if the bride and groom had managed to get in it. Still, we can fix that:

And since my MIL told my two youngest sons that she wants to see them married before she dies, I don't think it is wrong of me to post here that I still have two single godly men to find wives for. All applications will be considered!

Hey, Jules.

What a charming post. I was smiling the whole time while reading it. I love all of those photos and your commentary is hilarious.

And best of luck with sons four and five. ;)

Jules,

Just wanted to say that if it weren't for the fact that my mother would probably kill me for moving to a different hemisphere, I would jump at the chance to be your daughter-in-law.

Oh, Jules, the pictures are lovely. I didn't notice any faults, just a big, happy family. And your adorable granddaughters... loved their color coordination.

By and by, Jules - I can't keep my silence - you are making me want to apply for one of the posts advertised in the last paragraph :D Are foreigners considered?

I enjoyed these pictures. I was glad to see you and your dress clearly in this set, since you had mentioned it before the wedding. It looks lovely. Your granddaughters exhibit such fun personalities in the pictures. You have been blessed.

Ohtawen, I'm a foreigner! I'm an Australian married to a New Zealander. One DIL is also Australian, and another has Maori ancestry. I also have a SIL who is Japanese. When we belong to God, we're all part of the same family.

Sharlene, I feel blessed. I guess I like the group photo because you do see everyone's personalities - not just the little ones - although their's are perhaps more obvious.

Jules, you always know what to say :) If I was any nearer to you, I'd hug you for your reply. Thank you for reminding me that we're all God's children... Sometimes, I can lose track of that, because the many divisions here where I live blind me :)
