Harvest

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

(Psalm 128, KJV).

Is that your table? Quite a harvest there.

Beautiful psalm. I love that. What a beautiful picture too. Is that your house??

Yes, it's our house and our harvest. The tomatoes are just about finished so not much of thm to see and there are still more pumpkins growing up through the fruit trees that I haven't picked yet. I didn't 'showcase' the spindly corn or twisted cucumbers though. :)

LOL, Jen! Just as well I cropped the photo - otherwise you wouldn't have compared my house to a magazine at all! My husband made the table and bench out of a few pieces of timber that were left lying around in the garage from the previous owners. We needed a bigger table for Christmas and he quickly put this one together. A year later it was still in our dining room (our original and much smaller table having found a home in the corner of the kitchen) so I decided to give it a painted distressed look. DH has promised to make me a bigger table one day as this one doesn't really fit our family comfortably any more unless we all squeeze up really close.
