Reluctant Blogger

Despite the proliferation of posts since I started this blog, I’m a reluctant blogger. I come to blogging quite late considering I’ve kept a daily journal since I was 12 years old when my sister gave me a diary for Christmas. It’s a habit I got into and can’t break even though I have drawers full of journals that will never get read (unless I get into gear and finish editing the novel I’m working on and find a publisher – then perhaps someone somewhere will be interested in all the nitty gritty details of my life but I doubt it).

I wondered how I’d find the time or inclination to blog monthly let alone weekly or daily. My life is rather average and I really thought that I’d have nothing worth writing about. But I seem to have taken to blogging with a vengeance.

I decided to blog after talking to a Canadian lady in our church. She told me that she used her blog to keep in touch with family and friends back home in Canada. I have family and friends overseas and a son about to go off down south and I thought that I could copy her idea and keep in touch with them all through my bog. Small matter that I haven’t yet shared my blog link with them. I’ll get around to it – one day.

The great thing about blogging is that you get to be centre stage for a few minutes each day. Great for an introvert like me! Seriously, the greatest thing about blogging is all the wonderful people I get to meet. So many people have stopped by and read my blog and left such wonderful comments. I read them all and appreciate them all and when time permits I respond. I appreciate you - my readers - heaps!

And DH loves it because now he says he can find out what I do each day!

I think *everyone* has a story in them, but not everyone can or will write it down.

I really enjoy blogging too even though my life isn't all that exciting either. Sometimes to organize my thoughts when I write them down. While I'm at it, do you mind if I put a link to your blog in mine?

I didn't know you are an introvert too Jules. That's also one of the reasons I enjoy blogging.

I also wanted to add that the most mundane things are often the most interesting to read - at least for me. I think it's because I can relate to them. Cooking, family... just day-to-day living.

You have a wonderful blog Jules, and I'm glad I discovered it lately.
