Reintroducing The Family: Part Two

This weekend we celebrated The Most Adorable Granddaughter#4's seventh birthday. It's hard to believe seven years have flown by already. She is growing up so fast and has informed me that she is going to take after her mother's side of the family and be tall (height is a gene that does not run on our side of the family). Time will tell.

The Most Adorable Granddaughter#4 is the eldest child of Son#2 and DIL#2. I first introduced Son#2 here and blogged about their summer wedding here. The blog post that features their wedding quilt and was about sexual purity remains my most popular.

Son#2 works in the medical field and DIL#2 did her degree in engineering. This is important as you will discover when I reintroduce other family members. But for now, let's focus on their four delightful daughters ...

The Most Adorable Granddaughter#4 made her debut here. Nowadays she loves books and clothes, playing games and organising us all. She is also hastening the end of the planet by using reams of paper for writing and drawing on a weekly basis.

The Most Adorable Granddaughter#5 made an unplanned appearance here and here. I love to see her so full of life (even though Son#2 tells me that I am fortunate that I don't have to parent her!). When I remember her birth ... how still ... the doctors working over her ... I can't help but rejoice that she now embraces life with both hands (and hopefully uses both hands when she's climbed way up high!). Only fourteen months younger than big sister, she sometimes appears to be on a mission to catch up.

The Most Adorable Granddaugher#6 is of course another delight who entered our family back here. She is at that adorable stage where she expresses herself unconventionally. Her words and phrases are repeated around the family as we delight in her latest expression. She has fallen in love with Son#4's girlfriend (whom she insists on calling "Uncle") and had no qualms telling Son#5 last week that she likes "Uncle" more than she does him!

The Most Adorable Granddaughter#7 is the last of the line for the moment. She was introduced to the world here and here. She is quite independent - surprising given the fact that her older sisters have spent a lot of her life carrying her around - and we are enjoying watching her personality unfold. I think she secretly knows that she has the whole family (all sixteen or seventeen of us) wrapped around her little finger!
